You’ve downloaded BRiN! Great work! Now you can access over 1000 business education videos.

We have categorised the videos by topic and shows. To access them, navigate to the ‘Training’ tab. When you click on ‘Topic’, you’ll see the eight main categories. Each of these have ten categories (that’s 80 all up – you are never gonna get bored).

It’s easy to access the content you are most interested to find out about. We have also created cross-categories that cover shows, speakers and topics so you’ll be able to keep tabs on your favourites.

Psst… keep an eye out for upgrades! With the help of BRiN, you’ll soon be able to search using voice activation. She’ll help you find what you want in seconds.

OK… let’s play!

Once you have found copy you’d like to access and watch, you’ll find a ‘Plus’ button immediately beneath the video. Tap on it once to add the video to your playlist. Now you’ve started your own custom channel.

Keep adding videos to your playlist and they will all be saved in one easy to access screen. You can change the order of your playlist by clicking on ‘Edit’ and moving clips up and down.

You’ll also see that BRiN remembers how much of a video you have already watched. If you have to go to a meeting (or to sleep!) she will pick up where you left off when you come back.

Once you’re in your playlist screen, you’ll be able to see all the content that you have saved to watch at a time that suits you.

To watch a video, click on the right hand side of the clip in the playlist menu.

If you’re in an area with low internet reception or want to limit the amount of data you consume, switch to audio mode. Do this by clicking on the left hand side before you play your video.
Playing just audio means you use less data and also lets you listen while you drive, or if it’s not practical to be watching a screen.

This function is a unique first so switch it around, play and keep learning.

Want BRiN to do more? There’s also another tab that will allow you to put your videos on auto-play – once you have finished one insightful video the next one will automatically cue up and start playing.

So much to learn… so little time!

BRiN is a smart cookie! When she’s in audio mode she becomes just like your music player. This means that when you switch off your phone she will continue to play the audio. You’ll also be able to skip between tracks, pause, fast forward and rewind.

To connect while you’re driving, sync your phone with the car’s Bluetooth, the same as you would with your music player.

Of course we thought of that too!

We understand that entrepreneurs are always looking for a way to shortcut the system get more done in less time. If you want to watch a half hour presentation in fifteen minutes – you can!

Watch BRiN’s video content at normal speed or play it at 2x, 3x or 4x the speed and you’ll be learning faster than Usain Bolt.

We understand that data consumption is a challenge! To reduce the amount of data you use, reduce the quality of your videos to the lowest version. The video quality on your screen won’t be great but the audio will be very clear, allowing you to still get the most out of the information being provided.

Enjoy the same content but use less bandwidth by clicking on the ‘Diamond’ icon on the video player once you have started streaming a video. This will let you choose the quality you want to stream at.

Hint: To use the lowest possible amount of data, stream audio only.

BRiN’s amazing business education content is so great – who wouldn’t want to share it?

Here’s how: within the video player you’ll see a ‘Forward’ arrow. When you’re streaming content you can click on the arrow. Choose SMS, email or social media and send the video to a friend or colleague from the specific point you’re watching.

Once you have forwarded a video, BRiN will generate a unique link. When your friend or colleague clicks on the link they will be taken to iTunes to download the app. Once they have done that – Voila! – they’ll be taken to the point in the video that you have shared with them and they’ll be able to see what you’ve been raving about :)

In the future BRiN will be available as an app on computers and televisions, but for now she is designed for tablets and smartphones.

If you want to watch on a big screen and have an internet enabled television, try streaming BRiN’s educational videos via Airplay or screen share. This will push the video from your home to your screen.

If you have an Apple TV or Chromecast, you’ll be able to stream videos from your iOS device to Apple TV, or from your Android device to Chromecast.

BRiN videos stream through the internet on your hand-held device. We utilise the technology and resources of one of the largest hosting services in the world and thus our videos will be shown at an optimum resolution for your internet connection.

The best way to access as much of our content as possible is to contact your mobile internet service provider and upgrade to an unlimited plan.

If that’s not an option, we allow you to select within our video player, via the diamond icon the level of quality you want to stream your videos in (Eg, 240p, 480p, 720p, 1080p, etc) . A lower quality video stream will consume less data.

As a guideline you can expect these approximate data usage estimates for 1 hour of video:

If you are close to your data limit, consider changing devices. Or why not pop down to your local coffee shop and take advantage of their free wireless? You can brush up on your business skills while you relax with a cappuccino :)

If a video won’t play on your BRiN app, it could be a problem with your internet connection. There are a couple of things you can try:

• Switch to wifi for a better connection
• Select a lower quality in the video player (do this by pressing on the ‘diamond’ icon on the video player and choosing a lower video resolution)
• If you are in an area with bad internet, try to play audio only (To do this, find the video in your playlist, then click left to play audio only).

Finally, try closing your app and opening it again.

This is most likely a network connection issue. To resolve this, lower the quality on the video player (do this by pressing on the ‘diamond’ icon on the video player and choosing a lower video resolution)

You can also try different quality options to reduce buffering while playing, or switch to play audio only so that there is less interference.

Firstly, check that your internet connection is working properly.

If that doesn’t work, close the BRiN app, open it again and try logging in. Still not working? Try another device and check if you can log in there.

To close your app on iOS (iPhone):

– Press the ‘home’ button to return to your home screen.

BRiN requires iOS 8.0 or later to work. So check on your device under Settings – General – About and look at Version to check it is 8.0 or above. BRiN is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

To update your password, click the ‘Forgot Password?’ link on the login page of the BRiN app.

You will be prompted to type in your email address and you will be sent a confirmation email to change your password. Once you follow the instructions in the email, you will be able to log back into the BRiN app using your new password.

Ensure you have downloaded the latest version of the BRiN app. Login with your old email address. Then click on the ‘…’ in the bottom right of the screen then select ‘My Profile’. Click ‘Edit’ in the top right hand corner, update your email address and then click ‘save’ in the top right corner.

If you own a Samsung S6 Edge, please open your phone’s settings.

Navigate to Sounds and notifications, then Sound quality and effects.

Make sure the option SoundAlive+ is deactivated (greyed out).

Otherwise, if you have a sound equaliser installed on your device, try to reset it to the defaults.
