What is a Mission Statement? Definition or Meaning

Posted by Bizversity

Working with a business requires trust. It also requires the ability to make a judgment on whether your business and theirs will be compatible with different dimensions. For instance, the organisation’s goals for its customers, its plans for the future and what role it may play in the community are some examples of what to look for in a business’s mission statement.

For example…

Let’s say David, an industrial chemist invents a pest eradication formula that is made out of hundred percent natural sources. He forms a company to commercialise and promote this product. One of the first thing he does is write a mission statement for his company: To provide a natural, risk-free alternative to his customers seeking pest-control, to ensure all his workers are treated with respect and allowed to grow and explore interests as well as to provide free, comprehensive advice to impoverished communities around the world to conduct pest management.
