What is an Entrepreneur? Definition or Meaning

Posted by Bizversity

The word ‘entrepreneur’ has become somewhat of a buzzword lately but they have been around for years! Entrepreneurs are basically people who work for themselves, rather than another company and take on managing all aspects of a business. From big successes to massive failures, they accept the risks and liabilities that come with starting something innovative.

For example…

Janine Ellis, the founder of Boost Juices is the entrepreneur behind the successful juice bar business. She found a gap in the healthy food market and decided to bridge that gap in the form of fruit and vegetable-based drinks. With no formal business training or education, she “made up” her business plans along the way. Not exactly advisable but risky all the same.
