What is Co-branding? Definition or Meaning

Posted by Bizversity

Often, a product or service is the work of partners. When this product or service is the result of two businesses collaborating together, it makes sense to want to market it as belonging to both. This type of marketing is called co-branding and it can involve the creation of a combination of both companies’ logo or a new one just to represent the partnership.

For example…

Apple Watch Nike+ is a a co-branded product. It is the result of a partnership that aims to make life easier and more motivational for the runner by combining the details and plans of the route of the run with the power of Apple’s iOS to give the runner the perfect running partner.
