Fifteen years ago, in their mid-twenties, Matt and his partners bought and renovated their first pub. Ten pubs later, the Sand Hill Road group owns and operates some of Melbourne’s best boozers, including the Richmond Club, Prahran, Bridge and Terminus Hotels.
On the side, Sand Hill Road Pictures produced a feature documentary called Kanyini, about respected Indigenous Elder Bob Randall, which was played in cinemas around the country, and the short film Minnie Loves Junior, which won awards at the Berlin, LA and New York Film festivals.
Matt writes a regular column for hospitality industry magazine “Venue.”
Sand Hill Road’s charity Karma Kegs donates funds to local organisations and families in need.
