Paul Antony Farrell is the co-founder, former CEO and chairman of ResSleep. His team helped speed up sleep apnea diagnosis and treatment throughout Australia. They not only increased patient access, but made diagnosing and treating the disease less complex for everybody. In 5 years, Paul and his partner, Deborah Mott, led ResSleep towards expansion from just 5 clinics to 18. Their network retail revenue of $2.8 million and zero net earnings grew to $14 million and $2 million respectively.
This included Australia’s first medical franchise in the field of respiratory and sleep medicine. ResMed recently acquired the ResSleep network and expanded to 21 clinics. Before that, Paul served as vice president of ResMed for 3 years. He also headed the Australian Commercial Business and gained experience in the medical and pharmaceutical field within Stryker Healthcare and Astra Zeneca. He’s taken on various sales roles over a period of eight years, including Director of Sales and Marketing, and managerial roles. Early in his career, he also gained consumer market experience. Paul has experience working with the likes of Coles Myer, Corban’s Wines, and Tyrrell’s Wines.
Paul undertook his initial higher education at Sydney University. There he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Education. Then he undertook a Master’s Degree in Commerce at the University of NSW, majoring in Marketing and Finance. During this time, he was selected to join the international MBA exchange program at Babson College in Boston, USA, where he studied entrepreneurship.
